Location - off Colonial Rd (SR-1601) about 700 feet up a dirt path, about 1.0 mile north of Hwy 43, near Old Sparta.

Colonial Rd is about 0.5 mile north of the Edgecombe-Pitt County line.

Cemetery is on the former property of Govenor Elias Johnston Carr. It is enclosed by an iron fence, and is well maintained.
