      There is a memorial to the Jesse Stanley Family in this cemetery and a marker for Civil War Veteran W. J. Poindexter, Co. E, 57th VA Inf. CSA.

      Additional information as to the parents of the deceased, or given names where initials are on the graves, etc., has been added and is based on research of birth, marriage, and death records as well as census records in October 2008. In a few cases, some new burials were added based on posted obits, but not from a resurvey of the burials. We thank Judy Cardwell who has done extensive work on the STANLEY line and Sherry Poindexter, both of whom provided names, dates, and ancestral links to many of these burials, including some with no dates on the graves.
